A typical day at the beach

Aja casually playing in the sand...

...eating the sand...

...not sure what she thinks of her food choice, but nonetheless continues to eat and throw sand everywhere possible...

...Aja becoming one with the sand!  She had sand caked all over her scalp and everywhere else you could imagine.  But I laughed the whole time I was taking pictures.

RUPP FAM IN SAN DIEGO!!!

My family came and spent a week with us!   It was my dad, mom, and 2 sisters-rach and beth.  Yes, we all stayed in my 2 bedroom condo.  It was a bit cozy...but that is how it should be with family.  We played all week long, it was a ton of fun.  The condo was way to quiet once they left.

First things first, we went straight to the beach.

Indie Jones stopped by to say hello and apologize for having freakin' aliens and tarzan wanabe in his new flick.

We played paddle ball, frisbee and boogie boarded.  We are weak and still wear wet suits, the water is just not that warm here.

Here is our changing room at the beach, it proved to be very effective....or at least we think so.  Others might have a story to tell.

Walking along mission beach blvd.  It is always a busy, party place.  This is one of my favorite beaches.  You will never leave this walkway without laughing at a few weirdos.  Like men roller blading in speedos and boom box systems duck-taped to bikes with somebody jamming along as they bike down the blvd.

We went out to eat at least once a day.  Johnson and I have so many restaurants we love to eat at and we wanted to take the family to all of them.  I probably gained a few pounds, but mmmmm it was good.

We spent a day at Sea World.  It was a perfect, sunny day.  Poor Johnson had to work half the time the family was here.  So he would go to every activity for a couple of hours and then be on his way to work.  Here are the girls in front of the shark tunnel.

DRY at the beginning of the day!  We just couldn't resist those water rides.

WET!

DRENCHED!  We left at the end of the day soaked.  We went straight home and jumped in the hot tub.  We spent a while in there getting warmed back up.

PADRES GAME!!!We ended it right with a padres game where they actually won!  They have not done so hot this season, but from what I hear they are pickin it up.  It was rainy and overcast, what luck!  There are probably 15 days in the whole year where it rains in San Diego and we picked one to go to a baseball game.   But we bundled up and it was perfect.  Aja was trying to escape and play in puddles the whole time.  She was wet from the knees and elbows down when the game was done.  We undressed her down to her onesie in the car.

Aja was exhausted by the time we left.  We pulled her every direction all week long, and naps and a decent bedtime got tossed out the window.
