A new day in the life of the Johnsons

I just got back from Utah, which I hear recently got snow.  NOT cool!  I am really enjoying the sunny 75 degree weather, but still ready for the "lay out on the beach, soakin up some rays" weather.  Winter wears on me. Utah was a blast, Easter is a holiday that definitely needs to involve family. So that is exactly what I did.  The only problem was it left Johnson with no family. I can hear the violin playing!..  Don't worry, I hid an Easter basket for him full of fattening, sugar filled morsels.  I put pictures in the basket of Aja and I with Easter bunny ears on our head.  I made a bunny face in mine.  I whipped out the buck teeth, ya it was really ugly.  I will spare you all and make sure you never see the picture.  Johns has seen uglier than that, I am sure he was not even fazed.  Aja is fun to have around on the holidays, but she is still in that phase where they just don't really get it yet.  I tried so hard to get her to look for the Easter eggs, but she just looked at me like "whatever mom".  The good thing was I got double the candy.  I love having kids.  You get to take food to Sacrament meeting, I always have an excuse to get way overly excited for the holidays at 25..I mean 26 years old, and you can send them out to trick or treat for you.  I am sure the benefits go on.  Speaking of whatever...Aja has suddenly learned how to give a crusty.  She looks at you as if you are the lamest person on earth.  And she pulls that face about 50% of the day now.  It gives me a glimpse of how the teenage years are going to be.

Johns has recently gotten into the blog.  He picked all the music, if you can't tell.  I told him he should write the next post.  I always like to hear what he has to say, it gives me a good laugh.  Johnson is doing good.  He decided to do all the activities that he can't do anymore with a child while we were gone.  He went mountain biking, to the movies, and out to eat.  Of course we can still go out to eat with Aja, but not without everyone staring at us (or maybe it just feels that way when half you childs food is on the floor and they are screaming every 2 mins).  I am just reminiscing about our latest Spaghetti Factory experience.  Good food, not such good company!

So if any of you pro-bloggers can help me out with something I would love it.  I tried to put a customized background off of a website onto my blog, ya know the whole code thing.  And when I previewed it, the right side of my blog and my slideshows were cut off.  Is that just going to occur on the preview, or is there something special I need to do.  If anyone out there in blog world can help let me know.  Thanks.  Hope everyone is doing great, we miss you all!!!

Update on the exciting life of Stevo and Johns

Holler out to all our peeps! We are doing the usual. We went to Utah last week with the intention of playing all week in the snow. Ya know, the whole snowmobiling, snowboarding, sledding stuff. And instead Johnson spent the whole week on my parents couch with the fab flu that everyone is passing around in Utah. Which in turn meant I spent the week at work being a nurse. And Eric was my worst patient yet! Just kidding (incase Johnson actually reads this which is highly unlikely). He is slowly recovering back here in sunny San Diego.
The weather has been great since we got back to Cali. I am so excited for Summer. Hopefully all of our friends and family will come visit (hint, hint).
Aja is 13 months now and getting cuter every day. Besides the loud, ear drum blowing scream she does when she feels the need. She is not walking yet, we have been trying to help her but she is just not interested. She finally has enough hair to pull back. It sticks straight up on the top of her head. Someone in my ward told me she looks like a "Who" from Whoville. I wondered what they were talking about until I saw the trailer for the new Dr. Suess movie coming out. And there is no denying that there is a very similar resemblance. Well at least with the hair-do.
Eric finally has weekends off at work. We actually have a life on the weekends. Well as much as having a child allows. It has been so fun. He has Fridays and Saturdays off now, and then in a month his employer is switching his days off to Saturday and Sunday. SWEET! Not to bad for the new guy!
And just in case any of you are fans, LOST has been awesome this season. It is my favorite one so far.
