A new day in the life of the Johnsons

I just got back from Utah, which I hear recently got snow.  NOT cool!  I am really enjoying the sunny 75 degree weather, but still ready for the "lay out on the beach, soakin up some rays" weather.  Winter wears on me. Utah was a blast, Easter is a holiday that definitely needs to involve family. So that is exactly what I did.  The only problem was it left Johnson with no family. I can hear the violin playing!..  Don't worry, I hid an Easter basket for him full of fattening, sugar filled morsels.  I put pictures in the basket of Aja and I with Easter bunny ears on our head.  I made a bunny face in mine.  I whipped out the buck teeth, ya it was really ugly.  I will spare you all and make sure you never see the picture.  Johns has seen uglier than that, I am sure he was not even fazed.  Aja is fun to have around on the holidays, but she is still in that phase where they just don't really get it yet.  I tried so hard to get her to look for the Easter eggs, but she just looked at me like "whatever mom".  The good thing was I got double the candy.  I love having kids.  You get to take food to Sacrament meeting, I always have an excuse to get way overly excited for the holidays at 25..I mean 26 years old, and you can send them out to trick or treat for you.  I am sure the benefits go on.  Speaking of whatever...Aja has suddenly learned how to give a crusty.  She looks at you as if you are the lamest person on earth.  And she pulls that face about 50% of the day now.  It gives me a glimpse of how the teenage years are going to be.

Johns has recently gotten into the blog.  He picked all the music, if you can't tell.  I told him he should write the next post.  I always like to hear what he has to say, it gives me a good laugh.  Johnson is doing good.  He decided to do all the activities that he can't do anymore with a child while we were gone.  He went mountain biking, to the movies, and out to eat.  Of course we can still go out to eat with Aja, but not without everyone staring at us (or maybe it just feels that way when half you childs food is on the floor and they are screaming every 2 mins).  I am just reminiscing about our latest Spaghetti Factory experience.  Good food, not such good company!

So if any of you pro-bloggers can help me out with something I would love it.  I tried to put a customized background off of a website onto my blog, ya know the whole code thing.  And when I previewed it, the right side of my blog and my slideshows were cut off.  Is that just going to occur on the preview, or is there something special I need to do.  If anyone out there in blog world can help let me know.  Thanks.  Hope everyone is doing great, we miss you all!!!

Stevo, I love it. Thanks for another great post. I already told you my hints to the blog question. ha ha ha (I can't help you!) You can inform Johns that I have hit mute the instant I turn the blog on. Sorry...the noise might wake up Jakey! J/K I just don't get into the music thing! But yes, Jared will turn your blog on so he can listen to music! Just to inform you, the snow is gone now! Yeah, but the temp is still freezing! I'm ready to come back to California...do you want more visitors? Anyways...I hope went well this morning? It was great to talk with you all night even though it was 12:30AM. Love ya, Di

Hey Stevo, first I have to say you and Aja look beautiful! Next, I am so excited I can check up on you guys now. Do your parents still live in bountiful? (I think that was your parents) We live there now also. As far as helping with the blog, I just redid mine and I had to reload all my pictures and things down the side (still working on it) after customizing my page. Sorry I hate to say it but I think it auto erases all those things when you change it. Good Luck!

Hey guys -
Good to keep in touch, even if it is through blogs, especially since we dont have kids and really have no excuses or business even having one :) I like your picture in the slide show of Aja trying to kiss Eric through the glass at the zoo. Haha. We should go do something sometime - two of my sisters live in SD now, and I fly down there all the time with work, so sometime this summer you can plan on it. Tell Johns Im not flying into his airport though, Id rather take my chances landing at Miramar than be run into the hill by him and his yayhoo co-workers. Hope everything is going well!
