Hooray for holidays!

I am so excited for the upcoming holidays!  I have always loved holidays but it is extra fun now that we live out of state and it is a chance to take vaca!  My family is coming down over Thanksgiving weekend, which means they will get here tomorrow.  We are going to have 8 people staying in a 2 bedroom condo.  Sweet!  And then we are going to visit Utah over the Christmas holidays.  I will be very prego but that will not stop me from having fun (or sitting in a car twice for an 11 hour drive).  I also am planning on snowboarding, snowmobiling, and sledding when we go to Utah, I don't think Eric is so hip on the idea!  He will let me dream though.  I am having another ultrasound tomorrow which is cool.  I am measuring small in belly size (which I guess is not so cool, but I also measured small with Aja so I am not to worried about it) so I am going for another ultrasound.  I am always happy to see the new little one, it makes it worth it.  Here are some recent pics of us on the sky ride at the zoo, and that is about all we have going on here right now.  And as you can see there is no snow and green leaves on the trees!  It will be a shock to go to Utah!

Aja recently discovered pizza!  I don't know why my child has not had pizza before the age of almost 2 years old, but she loved it.  We found a Little Ceasars down here which we are stoked on...we are always fans of a $5 dinner.

YAY FOR OBAMA!

I am so excited that Obama won the election!  90% of the people who read this blog are Republican so I apologize ahead of time and ask that you will still be my friend.  I am not necessarily a Democrat, but I really like Obama and think he is a going to be a great presidential figure for America, which we desperately need after Bush.  Johns and I watched the election last night and I couldn't believe how fast he won.  One minute he was slightly ahead, and 20 seconds later they had declared him the next president.  It was pretty amazing!

I also want to say the Prop 8 was passed, which means that California once again only recognizes marriage as a union between a man and a woman.  Hoorah!  The church has been working hard to support that Prop for the past 6 months.  Every day in the last 2 weeks people in our ward have been out sign waving and making phone calls encouraging people to vote.  So A+, all that hard work paid off.  I regret to say I did not do any of it, but I supported with my vote,  hee hee!  Sign waving with a kid just didn't seem like my sort of thing.  Hopefully our country has a better future and economic status ahead!

Natural History Museum

We went to the Natural History Museum.  They have a ton of museums here in Balboa Park and they are free to residents on Tuesdays.  It is pretty sweet.  I always love cheap, fun activities. We have tried to go see about one a month.  This one was our favorite so far.  We learned a lot and got a lot of exercise, Aja kept us running the whole time.  She is getting to that age where I think I lose her every time we go anywhere.  She loves to hide...every mothers nightmare.

Look at that belly, I can't quite suck it in anymore!

HAPPY HALLOWS EVE!!!  We had a great time this Halloween, Aja actually got the concept of trick-or-treating and loved it.  We originally had a Elmo costume for Aja that I bought last year on clearance thinking I was so smart.  I thought this year..."I am so happy I am on top of things and I don't have to buy a costume."  Well, 2 nights before Halloween I tried it on her to see how it would work and she freaked out.  She cried the whole time we had it on her.  So 2 nights before Halloween we were one of those procrastinating fools running around to every store in town looking for a costume.  I don't think Johns and I will ever be the organized, put together type.  So we better get used to the last minute craziness.  So Aja was Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty...and she was so cute!

Here is a picture of us trick-or-treating in a neighborhood in our ward.  We got together for a Halloween party with a few couples in our ward.  We had dinner and then went t-o-t (I am getting sick of typing that) together.  Johns was a doctor, which means he had no costume plan until 10 mins before we were supposed to leave the house.  And I was a pregnant nun!

After the Halloween party we went over to our ward's trunk-or-treat.  We decorated the back of our car.  Kind of a lame attempt but it was fun.  Johns wouldn't let me stick tape on the windows because we got them tinted a couple months ago.  So the decorating options were slim.

Aja looks like a natural Rupp in this picture.  My goal is to try and not have such sweet tooth children as I was as a kid.  But because I still eat a lot of candy, my attempt will most likely fail!

Eric and I carved these pumpkins the night before Halloween.  They were a lot of fun.  But also a lot more work than I thought.  It took me like 2 hours.  I had to show them off because of the time we spent on them.

So here is a belly picture for all those wanting to see me chub out.  This is a pic of me and Diana (a friend in the ward).  We are due a week apart.  It has been fun to have someone pregnant right along with me.  I didn't get that on my last pregnancy.  I started my 3rd trimester exactly on halloween.  It seemed like an appropriate day.
